Olde American Roots (DC And Gettysburg)

Olde American Roots (DC and Gettysburg)

I was lucky to re-connect with an old friend, Jason, who lives near Gettysburg when we left the Philadelphia area. He had grown up there and had access to an audio tour of the Gettysburg battlefield. It was a great driving tour that had many stopping points and lookouts at the decisive battle during the Civil War. He then took us to his favorite old tavern in town where we had a great warm meal.

After that we hit up Baltimore to visit the Under Armor headquarters, which were quite disappointing! Then we ditched the dog again and walked around all of the free museums in DC. Apparently, the subway system is broken all the time here, which was fortunately working for us.

Many concentrated memorials and great museums. We had a great time wandering in and out of buildings without the pup.

And that’s the last of the multi-day big cities for the east coast!
